The Vilnius Literary Residency is a program dedicated to writers, illustrators and literary translators from all over the world, with a focus on the Norwich and Krakow Cities of Literature and Ukraine in the year 2023. The purpose of the residency program is to provide opportunity for writers, illustrators, and translators to stay in Vilnius for a four-week period and engage in creative work. All selected participants will have their travel expenses covered, be provided accommodation in Vilnius’ iconic Užupis arts district, and granted a scholarship of 500 EUR.

Participant from Norwich City of Literature this year is Suzanne Reid, emerging writer who is now finishing her novel based on the search of the family roots in Vilnius.

Resident from Krakow City of Literature is poet Dawid Mateusz. He will be working on his second poetry collection.

Last resident this year will be Tamara Duda from Kyiv (Ukraine), a poetry and prose author as well as a songwriter.
