Opening of the exhibition “Writers for Writers”

In their books, writers dedicate a variety of inscriptions to their colleagues – concise or long, friendly or respectful, expressing gratitude for help with publishing or translating, or wishing for career heights. These dedications are graphic, hand-drawn, serious, and playful. They range from classics like Jonas Jablonskis or Juozas Tumas-Vaižgantas to Jurga Ivanauskaitė, from Judita Vaičiūnaitė to today’s debut authors, and from Czesław Miłosz to Margaret Atwood.

The exhibition features autographs dedicated to writers such as Marius Burokas, Akvilina Cicėnaitė, Sigitas Geda, Gintaras Grajauskas, Giedrė Kazlauskaitė, Violeta Palčinskaitė, Vincas Mykolaitis-Putinas, Giedra Radvilavičiūtė, Rolandas Rastauskas, and others.

The exhibition “Writers for Writers” will be on display in the staircase and the 2nd-floor hall of the Pamėnkalnis Villa from January 30 to May 7, 2026.
